We’re excited to be the lead charity partner for the Porthcawl 10K in 2027.

Tŷ Hafan’s mission is that when a child’s life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own. Today, thousands of families in Wales face the unimaginable reality that their child will die – and 1 in 10 of those families do so without specialist care. 

The cost of delivering our care services last year was £7.7m and only 24% of those costs were covered by recurring statutory funding. And demand for our support continues to grow. 2025 saw a 22% increase in the number of new referrals to Tŷ Hafan. 

That means we rely on amazing people like you to fundraise for us. By running the Porthcawl 10K for Tŷ Hafan, you’re helping families in Wales as they face the unthinkable: their child’s short life.

When every runner commits to raising £175, together we can raise life-changing funds to make sure no family has to face this journey alone.

We have 250 spaces available for this event, with discounted entry available for runners pledging to raise £175 to support our vital services.
