Josh Griffiths and Charlotte Taylor will headline the Brecon Carreg Porthcawl 10K on Sunday 5 July.  The sixth edition of Wales’ fourth largest road race takes place on a revised course and hosts the third fixture in the R4W 10K Series.

Josh Griffiths (28:41) scored his most recent notable victories at the Llanelli 10K in February and at the MBNA Chester Marathon in late 2025.  He will line up alongside Sam Tyas (29:22) who set his impressive lifetime best at Trafford two years ago.

Phil Wylie (29:30), Ciaran Lewis (29:45), Jon Butler (29:52) and Adam Bowden (30:26) are all stalwarts of Run 4 Wales Races and will line up as the next fastest athletes on paper.

Butler was the runaway winner at the Barry Island 10K last month and the runner-up in Newport back in April. Ciaran Lewis will be looking to round into form following an appearance at the Recent Welsh Castles Relay which marked a return from injury. Evergreen Master athlete Bowden was delighted with his second-place finish in Barry.

Charlotte Taylor was also a winner in Barry, revising the course record to 33:08 with a new lifetime best and will be likely to go faster on the flatter Porthcawl course where she will chase the course record of 33:05 set by Natasha Wilson last year. The Bristol & West AC Athlete boasts a Half Marathon best of 70:38 set with a third-place finish at the 2025 Manchester Half Marathon and was the top British finisher at the Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon last October.

Former Welsh 10km Champion Olivia Tsim (33:57) was fifth in Barry and is joined by Tamara Beach (34:29), Georgia Palmer (35:00) and Kate Roberts (35:03) as the next fastest entrants.

ABP Newport 10K winner Donna Morris (35:16) will also be in action here.
